Take Your First Ride Into Whitewater Paddleboarding
Join us for a guided whitewater paddleboard experience on the Upper New River and discover the thrill of moving water in a safe, beginner-friendly way. We’ll start with an on-land session covering river safety, equipment, and SUP techniques for reading and navigating water.
Looking for the perfect way to try whitewater on a paddleboard? Our Intro to White Water experience is designed for beginners who are ready for adventure. You’ll start with a hands-on lesson covering river safety, reading water, and SUP-specific techniques for moving water.
Once you’re comfortable, we’ll head to the Upper New River (Stone Cliff to Dun Glenn), where you’ll practice skills at the base of a rapid before paddling downstream to test your moves through two gentle rapids. With expert guidance and small group sizes, you’ll gain confidence and have a blast on the river.
Trip length: 2.5–3 hours | Maximum of 5 participants
Price: 1 person: $199
2–3 people: $105 each
4+ people: $90 each

Cancelation Policy / Weather
Life happens and we understand!
If you have to cancel more than 4 days from your scheduled trip you will receive a refund minus the nonrefundable credit card booking fees or the option to rebook your trip. If canceled less than 4 but more than 24 hours before you may receive a 50% refund or the option to reschedule your trip. There is no refund if canceled within 24 hour of your trip or if you no show.
Trips are rain or shine, but we do try our best to work with you to find the best weather window for the day if it works for you. We do not run trips if there is lightning within 10miles. If a trip is canceled by Mountain Surf Paddle Sports due to weather or minimum not met you will receive a FULL refund, or the option to reschedule.
